The context
AfriLabs connected innovation hubs, entrepreneurs, donors and delivery partners in multiple national ecosystems. Sustainable growth required stronger internal capability, clear programme design, digital platforms and research grounded in local conditions.
My contribution
Across successive programmes and technology roles, I built and led the function from 2 to more than 10 people, shaped the technology vision, led platform delivery and coordinated multi-country programmes and research.
The work
- Led the design of a capacity-building programme with a €2 million pilot funded by AFD.
- Contributed to the design of a startup matching-fund pilot with €1.5 million in funding.
- Led development of freelance and virtual-learning platforms supporting pan-African opportunities.
- Led funded research on technology hubs and social innovation in Nigeria, Togo, Ghana and Zambia as part of wider pan-African work.
- Built roles, processes and delivery capability for programmes and digital platforms.
